Arini
A $500,000 seed round from February 2024 is the only funding figure two independent trackers agree on. No Form D has been found on EDGAR under the company’s own name, and a pair of later “new funding” reports from a news aggregator do not line up with each other or with anything else on the record.

What the filings show
There is nothing to show. A search of SEC EDGAR’s company database for “Arini” returns no filing tied to the dental company. The only registrants under that name are an unrelated hedge fund complex, Arini Capital Management, whose vehicles file Form D under names such as Arini Credit US Fund LP and Arini Structured Credit Equity Fund Ltd, none of which mention dentistry, healthcare, or the founders Abdul Jamjoom and Rami Rustom. A company that raises money under Regulation D is normally required to file Form D within 15 days of a first sale of securities, regardless of the amount raised, so the absence of any filing under Arini’s own name is itself part of the record, not just a gap in it.
Reading the filings
- No Form D appears for the company.Even a $500,000 raise under Regulation D would normally require a Form D within 15 days of first sale. EDGAR’s company search for Arini returns only the unrelated hedge fund complex, so either the raise used a different exemption path, was never filed, or the public reporting of it is incomplete.
- Two independent trackers agree on one number.Tracxn and VCBacked separately list the same $500,000 seed total and the same February 2024 date. That agreement between two unrelated data providers is the strongest corroboration available for any funding figure in Arini’s record.
- The aggregator reports do not add up.Signalbase’s $500,000 item and its $100,000 item both describe Arini as handling “over 15,000 calls daily” in nearly identical language, indexed weeks apart. That reads like the same underlying material processed twice rather than two distinct capital events, and neither figure is confirmed by Tracxn, VCBacked, or any filing.
- The named investor checks out independently.SBXi’s own site describes itself as a fund that backs MIT founders, which is consistent with cofounder Rami Rustom’s MIT degree. That is circumstantial support for the investor list VCBacked and Tracxn report, even without a filing to confirm a check was written.
- Headcount is the clearest public number.Y Combinator’s listing put the team at 17 around the company’s 2024 batch, and Tracxn’s count was 18 as of mid 2026. Two years of growth from a $500,000 seed to under 20 people is a slow burn for a company also describing itself as serving hundreds of practices, which is worth weighing against the funding total on record.
Commercial signals
| Signal | Detail | Source type |
|---|---|---|
| Call volume | Arini’s flagship AI Receptionist is reported to handle over 15,000 calls daily platform wide. | Company-stated |
| Named customers | Case studies on Arini’s own site name seven dental practices and DSOs, including an 8 location Michigan DSO and a mobile, direct to consumer DSO. | Company-stated |
| PMS integrations | A comparison site lists Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Open Dental integrations, but Arini’s own integrations page returned a 404 error as of August 2026 and publishes no named list. | Conflicting claims |
| Headcount | 17 people at the 2024 YC batch, 18 as of mid 2026 per Tracxn. | Independent |
| Third party reviews | No substantial review base found on sites such as G2 or Capterra as of mid 2026 to check the claim of serving hundreds of DSOs and practices. | Not found |
What to watch
- Whether a Form D or any other SEC filing eventually appears under Arini’s own name.
- A disclosed funding round beyond the $500,000 seed, with a named lead investor and date.
- Independent user review volume on G2 or Capterra that would let a buyer check the “hundreds of DSOs” claim.
- A stable, named practice management system integration list once the company’s own integrations page is restored.
