What the filings show

Nothing. A search of SEC EDGAR’s full text search for “CareSwift” returned zero filings, and an EDGAR company name search for “careswift” under Form D returned no matching companies, both checked September 25, 2026. That is consistent with a company that has raised only a Y Combinator check: YC typically invests through a standard SAFE, and a company that has not yet closed a priced round or a larger Regulation D offering may have nothing to file. It is also consistent with a raise made under an exemption that does not require a Form D, or with a filing under a legal entity name that does not contain the word CareSwift. The absence of a filing is not proof that no other money has moved.

Reading the record

  1. One figure, two sources, two different dates.St. John’s University reported in July 2025 that the founders had “recently received $500,000 of funding” ahead of joining Y Combinator’s Summer 2025 batch. A separate listing on StartupHub.ai gives the same $500,000 figure but dates it to January 1, 2025, five months before the founders say they were accepted into YC. A January 1 date on a specific dollar figure is a common placeholder for a listing that could not pin down an exact date, not necessarily a second round.
  2. No lead investor is named for the $500,000.Every account describes the money as coming from Y Combinator itself, consistent with YC’s standard batch investment, rather than a priced seed round with a venture lead.
  3. No non-dilutive money on record.Unlike many healthcare startups, CareSwift shows no NSF or NIH award, which is expected for a documentation product rather than a research or device company, but it also means there is no second, independent number to check the $500,000 against.
  4. Team size is reported two ways.Y Combinator’s own company page lists a team of 2. StartupHub.ai says CareSwift has “approximately 3 people on record.” A hiring push, including a founding full-stack engineer and a founding account executive role posted in 2025, suggests the company was trying to grow past its founding trio.

Commercial signals

Signal Detail Source type
Accelerator status Y Combinator Summer 2025 batch, listed active, primary partner Tyler Bosmeny. Public record
Hiring 2025 postings for a founding full-stack engineer ($120K to $180K plus 0.5 to 1.0 percent equity) and a founding account executive in New York, both requiring EMS familiarity. Public record
Customers A job posting asks engineers to “maintain close engagement with our customers,” implying paying or piloting agencies by mid-2025. None named. No procurement or council record found. Not found
Revenue claims Company materials cite roughly $200,000 to $219,000 in additional annual revenue recovered per ambulance, without a named agency or underlying data. Company-stated
Product scope Earlier company materials described direct ePCR integration and auto populated fields. The current site says CareSwift does not write back, synchronize, or submit charts, and providers copy narratives in manually. Differs across company materials

What to watch

  • A Form D, if CareSwift closes a larger Regulation D offering beyond its YC check.
  • An amended or clarified account of the $500,000, since the two public figures disagree on timing.
  • Named agency customers or a disclosed contract value.
  • Outcome of Y Combinator’s September 9, 2025 Demo Day, which is not covered in any source found.
