What the filings show
No Form D or other SEC filing was found under the name “Gamgee” or “Gamgee Technologies” on EDGAR as of September 25, 2026. A search of the SEC company database turns up only one prior registrant named Gamgee, Inc., CIK 0001562526 of Palo Alto, California, which filed three Form D notices in 2013 and 2014. That filer predates this company’s 2026 founding by more than a decade and its address, filing dates and public record show it is a different, unrelated entity. It is not treated as this company’s filing history here.
A Form D notice is due within 15 days of a round’s first sale of securities under Regulation D. Companies that raise under other exemptions, such as Section 4(a)(2), or that have not yet had a qualifying first sale at the time of this review, may show no Form D at all without that meaning no money moved. Given the round was announced on August 17, 2026, a filing tied to that sale, if one is made under Regulation D, would not necessarily have appeared yet by this review date.
Reading the public record
- The $4 million figure comes entirely from the company and press, not from a filing.GlobeNewswire’s launch release, and independent write-ups in Medical Daily, PYMNTS.com, Dealroom.co and 36Kr, all report a $4 million seed led by Founders Fund. No SEC document corroborates the amount, the lead investor, or the closing date.
- The named backers are a mix of institutional and individual money.Founders Fund is named as lead. The other four names disclosed, Celine Halioua, Steve Eidelman, Arash Ferdowsi and Gokul Rajaram, are individuals rather than funds, which is consistent with an angel-heavy seed round even though no per-investor amounts were disclosed.
- Dealroom’s own analysis flags the size against the evidence.Dealroom.co describes the $4 million round as sitting in the 80th percentile for size among comparable deals, and notes that is a sizeable round for a company whose only proof point is a single, unblinded animal case that ended in relapse.
- The founding entity’s identity is not fully settled in public sources.Gamgee’s Y Combinator founder bio describes Paul Conyngham as “Founder at Gamgee Technologies (YC S26),” while the company’s own press materials and website use the name Gamgee throughout. No EDGAR filer named Gamgee Technologies was found either.
- No non-dilutive funding, such as a government or research grant, was found on the record.Unlike device or diagnostics companies that often carry NIH or NSF grant history, no NIH, NSF or equivalent Australian public funding record for Gamgee or Conyngham’s earlier work on Rosie’s case was found in this review.

What to watch
- Whether a Form D appears for the $4 million round, and whether its filed amount matches the announced figure.
- Whether the legal entity name settles as Gamgee, Inc. or Gamgee Technologies, Inc. in any future filing.
- A Series A or additional seed extension, and whether institutional investors beyond Founders Fund are disclosed.
- Whether the company publishes trial results or registers its Australian study publicly.
