What the filings show

Nothing. A search of SEC EDGAR’s company database for Maia, Our Maia and Our Maia, Co. turned up no Form D notice as of September 25, 2026. The company’s recorded 2024 investors, Y Combinator and North South Ventures, appear only in PitchBook’s deal log and in Extruct AI’s aggregated funding summary, both third party data providers rather than the SEC itself.

Reading the record

  1. No Form D does not mean no money moved.A round raised through a SAFE or under the Section 4(a)(2) exemption, rather than a formal Regulation D offering, generates no Form D notice at all. Given the small scale reported here, a private SAFE with no registered notice is the more likely explanation than a hidden large raise.
  2. The one hard number is an accelerator check, not a round total.PitchBook’s only disclosed dollar figure, $500,000, is tagged as an “Accelerator/Incubator” deal dated April 4, 2024, consistent with a standard Y Combinator investment rather than a separately negotiated seed round.
  3. The second investor’s check size is unknown.PitchBook lists North South Ventures as an “Early Stage VC” investor with a minority stake, effective three days before the Y Combinator deal, but no source found in this research discloses an amount.
  4. A competing tracker’s numbers do not add up.Tracxn’s public funding table for Maia lists a “Series A” and a “Seed” round with dollar figures in the millions, but the same table repeats numbers across unrelated columns labeled post-money valuation and revenue multiple, and no other source, including PitchBook, Crunchbase or Extruct AI, corroborates a Series A. That table should be treated as unreliable rather than as evidence of a larger raise.
  5. The founding year is not settled either.PitchBook dates Maia’s founding to 2022. Company data reported through Extruct AI says 2023. A public Slack post from founder Claire Wiley introducing the app is dated October 16, 2023, months before the Y Combinator Winter 2024 batch that a competitor comparison site cites as the company’s founding moment.

What to watch

  • Any SEC Form D that would confirm the size of the North South Ventures investment or a later round.
  • Whether the Tracxn seed and Series A figures are corroborated by any primary source, or should be discounted entirely.
  • A named lead investor. Extruct AI lists “Lead Investor: Not specified” for the pre-seed stage.
  • Continued download and ratings growth as a proxy for traction, since no revenue or user count has been disclosed.
