What the filings show

Nothing. No Form D for Copper Health, Inc., or for any similarly named entity, turns up in SEC EDGAR as of September 2026. That is not unusual for a company at this stage: a Y Combinator investment is typically structured as a SAFE, and a company that has not raised a separate priced round under Regulation D has no reason to file one. But it also means there is no federal filing to check PitchBook’s numbers against.

Reading the record

  1. The only funding total on record is small and unverified by a filing.PitchBook’s FAQ says Copper Health has raised $500,000 total, and its deal table shows a single Accelerator/Incubator entry dated January 1, 2024, with no amount shown in that row. $500,000 is consistent with a standard Y Combinator check, though PitchBook does not cite a source for the figure and no SEC filing confirms it.
  2. Two independent trackers say zero.GetLatka and Extruct AI both report no funding raised for Copper Health. That is not a contradiction so much as a different threshold: PitchBook is counting the accelerator investment as a funding event, and the other two are not.
  3. PitchBook is the only source that says the company has closed. Its record lists a second deal type, Out of Business, dated February 24, 2026. No obituary, press note or founder statement explaining a shutdown was found anywhere else. The company’s own site and LinkedIn company page were both reachable when this page was researched in September 2026, and the site’s RTM pricing explainer had been updated for CPT codes that took effect January 1, 2026, after the date PitchBook lists as the closure.
  4. Headcount estimates do not agree either.GetLatka puts the team at about 4 people as of 2024, reaffirmed for 2026. LinkedIn’s company page lists 11 to 50 employees. Tracxn lists 1 employee as of June 2026. None of the three cite a payroll record; they are independent estimates, not a single verified count.
  5. No investor is named anywhere.Beyond Y Combinator itself, no venture fund, angel or family office is named as a Copper Health investor in any source checked, including Altss, which specifically tracks family office allocations to YC companies and lists none here.

What to watch

  • Whether PitchBook’s Out of Business status is corrected, confirmed elsewhere, or contradicted by continued site and LinkedIn activity.
  • A first SEC Form D, which would confirm any priced round beyond the Y Combinator investment.
  • Whether GetLatka’s revenue estimate is followed by any company-disclosed figure.
  • Consistent employee and location data, which currently varies by tracker between San Francisco and New York, and between 1 and 50 people.
