Piramidal
One disclosed round, no SEC filing of any kind, and no federal grant money. The capital record is short, and what is absent from it carries as much information as what is present.
Data as of September 24, 2026. Company-reported figures are labeled.

Reading the filings
- There is nothing to read.A full text search of EDGAR returns zero Form D notices and zero filings of any type naming Piramidal. The five documents that contain the word are annual and quarterly reports from unrelated issuers filed between 2003 and 2009. A company that raises under Section 4(a)(2) rather than Regulation D files no Form D at all, so the absence is not evidence that no money moved. It does mean every number below comes from a press release or an interview.
- The arithmetic has to be taken on trust.Six million dollars across three named funds and an unstated number of angels. If the three named backers had taken equal positions that would be $2.0M each, but nothing on record supports any split, and the angel money sits inside the same $6.0M.
- Half the seed went to GPUs.In September 2024 the CEO said: “Our raise was about 6 million and almost half of it is currently being spent towards compute.” That is roughly $3.0M on training in the first year and roughly $3.0M for everything else, including salaries, data agreements and any regulatory work.
- Who led it is unsettled.TechCrunch reported a round co-led by Adverb Ventures and Lionheart Ventures with Y Combinator participating. SiliconANGLE and HIT Consultant reported it as led by Y Combinator. The company site lists all three under one heading. No filing exists to settle it.
- Two years without a second round. The seed was announced on August 21, 2024. As of September 24, 2026, no Series A has been announced and no Form D has appeared. A company spending about half of $6.0M on compute in its first year is either earning revenue, funded without announcement, or due to raise.
- No non-dilutive money. No NIH or NSF award records were found. That is notable for a clinical AI company working with two academic hospital systems, because federal awards usually arrive attached to published results, and no publication on this model exists.
Commercial signals
| Signal | Detail | Source type |
|---|---|---|
| Regulatory | No FDA 510(k), PMA or De Novo record as of Sep 24, 2026. The April 2026 partnership release states the models “are not cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and are not intended for use in clinical decision-making at this time.” | Public record |
| Anchor partner | Cleveland Clinic collaboration, public since Aug 2025. Retrospective pilot reported at about 90 percent sensitivity and 90 percent specificity for seizure detection and lateralization, Apr 2026. | Partner-stated |
| Channel partner | IntraNerve Neuroscience, a remote continuous EEG provider supporting more than 150 facilities, named first remote monitoring partner on Apr 22, 2026, in a pilot. | Partner-stated |
| Earlier pilots | Four ICU pilots planned for Q1 2025 and two English hospital sites named in 2024. No outcome reported. | Company-stated |
| Revenue | None disclosed. In 2024 the company said it expected revenue to follow clinical deployment. | Nothing found |
| Clinical evidence | No registered trial, no peer reviewed publication on the model. | Public record |
What to watch
- A Form D. It is due within 15 days of the first sale in a Regulation D round, so one would be the first hard signal of a Series A.
- An FDA submission. Cleveland Clinic said in April 2026 that authorization was months away; nothing has appeared in the FDA databases.
- Published pilot data, which would move the fundraising story more than any announcement.
- Named paying customers. Both disclosed relationships are described as development collaborations or pilots, not purchases.

Compiled from SEC, FDA, NIH and other public records and published reports as of September 24, 2026. Form D notices report offerings under Regulation D; a company raising under Section 4(a)(2) files none, so the absence of a filing is not proof that no offering occurred. Healthcare Venture Capital Fund holds no position in Piramidal. This page is not an offer to sell or a recommendation to buy any security.
