What the filings show
Nothing, as far as the SEC is concerned. A full text search of SEC EDGAR for “Akute Health” returns zero results, and an EDGAR company search for “akute” filtered to Form D returns zero filings. That is unusual for a company that Y Combinator, PitchBook and Tracxn all agree has taken outside investment, and it means every dollar figure below comes from a third-party data aggregator rather than a regulatory filing.
PitchBook, which tracks private-company deals, lists three funding events for AkuteHealth in 2021: an Accelerator/Incubator deal on February 1, an Early Stage VC deal on July 16, and a second Accelerator/Incubator deal on August 31 tied to Y Combinator, the only one with a dollar amount attached, $125,000. Its investor table names five backers overall: Y Combinator, Pareto Holdings, Right Side Capital Management, StartUp Health and The Finger Group, without stating which of them participated in which event. Tracxn separately records a Seed round dated September 1, 2021, with a total funding figure of $125,000 and Y Combinator as the sole named investor, roughly consistent with PitchBook’s accelerator entry but silent on the other two 2021 events.
Reading the filings
- Only one number is real.Every aggregator that covers Akute converges on $125,000 as total disclosed funding, which is the standard size of a Y Combinator accelerator check, not a separate priced round.
- Three events, seven months, no other price.PitchBook’s February and July 2021 entries carry no dollar amount at all. That is consistent with a SAFE or note that a data vendor picked up from a source filing or investor disclosure without the amount, or with the vendor simply not obtaining it. Either way, the public record cannot say how much Akute has actually raised beyond the YC check.
- No SEC filing lines up with any of it.Companies that raise under Rule 506(b) of Regulation D are generally required to file a Form D, but small SAFE rounds handled directly between a startup and a handful of named angels or funds sometimes rely on Section 4(a)(2) instead, which carries no federal filing requirement. Zero EDGAR results for Akute Health is consistent with that path, though it cannot be confirmed without the company’s own cap table.
- The investor list is a pre-seed stack, not a growth round.Y Combinator, Right Side Capital Management and Pareto Holdings are all known for small, high-volume pre-seed checks; StartUp Health invests broadly across early digital health; The Finger Group reads as a family office. None of that points to a company that has closed an institutional priced round with a lead investor and a board seat.
- No later round has surfaced. No funding event after 2021 appears in PitchBook, Tracxn, Crunchbase’s indexed summary, or in web search results for the company as of September 2026, five years after the YC check.

What to watch
- A first Form D, which would put a real number on anything raised since the 2021 YC check.
- Whether PitchBook or Tracxn update total funding past $125,000 as new information surfaces.
- Revenue or ARR disclosure tied to the roughly 100 providers reported in late 2024.
- A named lead investor for any future round, which none of the current backers appear to be.
