What the filings show

Nothing, as far as SEC Form D goes. A search of EDGAR’s company database for filers with “10x” in the name returns dozens of unrelated entities, among them 10X Genomics, 10X Technologies, and a long list of investment vehicles named 10X Capital, 10X Founders, and similar, none tied to dental software, San Francisco, or the founders Max Bohun and Aman Madhav Garg. A separate EDGAR company search for “10x dental” returns no matching companies at all. No filing appears under GradeWiz either.

Two aggregator sites carry the same figure. Tracxn’s GradeWiz profile states the company “has raised $500K in funding” over one round, and Startups.fm lists 10x’s total raised as $500K. Because 10x is GradeWiz under a new name and product, the same round likely explains both entries, but neither site links to a primary filing, and the detailed round data Tracxn shows underneath that headline figure does not read as real dollar amounts, so this page treats only the $500K headline as reportable and nothing more specific than that.

Reading the filings

  1. No Form D does not mean no money moved.A company that raises under Section 4(a)(2) rather than Regulation D files no Form D at all, and a YC-scale seed check, often a SAFE, is routinely handled without one until a priced round follows.
  2. The $500K figure predates the pivot.Tracxn’s number sits on GradeWiz, the education product the founders wound down in 2025. Whether that same money is what 10x is now running on, or whether new capital came in with the dental pivot, is not shown in any record found.
  3. Two names, one CIK search, zero hits.Searching EDGAR for 10x, 10x Dental, and GradeWiz all return nothing tied to this company. If a Form D is filed later, watch for whether the filer name is 10x, 10x Dental, or a holding entity, since none of those has appeared yet.
  4. The company is young enough that this could still change. The Winter 2025 YC batch and the dental pivot both happened within the last two years, and the January 2026 hiring push for a founding engineer and go to market hire suggests fresh capital or at least a plan to raise it.

What to watch

  • Any first Form D filed under 10x or 10x Dental, and what it says about who is in the round.
  • Whether the reported $500K is confirmed as new dental-focused capital or is simply the carried over GradeWiz seed.
  • Named investors. None have been disclosed anywhere found.
  • Revenue disclosures beyond the two anecdotal practice examples the company has given.
