Dodo

A $500,000 seed from Y Combinator is the only funding event for this company confirmed across independent databases. No SEC Form D has been filed under any name variant of the company, and a larger funding total attached to the Dodo name online appears to belong to an unrelated business.

What the filings show

Nothing. A search of SEC EDGAR’s company database for “Dodo” and related names, and a full text search of Form D filings for “Dodo” alongside “clinics,” returned no filing tied to this company. Two unrelated companies do carry the Dodo name in EDGAR: Iridia, Inc., a genomics company that filed as “Dodo OmniData, Inc.” in 2017 before renaming, and Dodo Pizza USA Retail Inc., a pizza franchise entity, which filed four Form D notices in 2018. Neither is this company.

Reading the filings

  1. There is no filing to read.A $500,000 seed, small enough to sit under some private placements’ reporting thresholds or to have been raised through instruments that do not always trigger a Form D within the window checked, has no corresponding SEC notice as of this check.
  2. Two funding databases agree on the same small number.VCBacked and Tracxn each list a single seed round of about $500,000, with Y Combinator as the only named investor, dated to around September 2024, which lines up with the company’s Summer 2024 Y Combinator batch.
  3. A third database adds two rounds that do not hold up.Startup Intros lists $66.6 million raised across three rounds, including a $63.1 million “Series B” dated May 3, 2022, two years before this Dodo was founded, led by EC Investments, J&T Capital and Rockaway Capital. Those three names are publicly associated with Dodo Pizza, formally Dodo Brands, a pizza delivery chain that has raised large rounds under the Dodo name. The date alone rules this out as a real event for the clinic-AI company profiled here; it reads as an aggregator merging two unrelated companies that share a name.
  4. The same database’s $3 million December 2025 claim has no corroboration. No investor is named, no press release was found, and no other funding database lists it. It may be a real, unannounced raise, a restatement of the 2024 seed, or another mixing error. It should be treated as unverified until a primary source surfaces.
  5. Revenue estimates are a separate, softer number.A 2026 database estimated Dodo’s 2024 revenue at about $1.4 million, built from the estimator’s own model rather than a disclosed figure, and listed “$0” funding reported on the same page, a reminder that these aggregator numbers do not always agree with each other even within one source.

What to watch

  • A first SEC Form D, which would confirm or update the $500,000 figure and name any additional investors.
  • Independent confirmation, or a correction, of the $3 million December 2025 seed claim.
  • Aggregator sites correcting the $63.1 million figure that appears to belong to Dodo Pizza rather than this company.
  • Disclosed revenue or a named customer count to replace the current unaudited estimates.
