What the filings show

Nothing. A search of SEC EDGAR’s company database for “Avelis” returns a single, unrelated result: Avelist, Inc., a Raleigh, North Carolina entity with two old Form D filings from 2013 and 2015 under a different CIK. No Form D was found under Avelis Health, Avelis Inc, or Avelis, Inc. as of this writing. That is not unusual for a $500,000 accelerator check this size, since a company can stay below the radar for months, and some issuers raise under exemptions that do not require a Form D at all. It does mean none of the numbers in the rounds table above come from a primary securities filing.

Reading the record

  1. The pre-seed is the one hard number.Yahoo Finance, UrbanGeekz, Preqin and PitchBook all independently put the Y Combinator investment at $500,000, closed June 25, 2025. That figure is consistent across every source checked.
  2. The seed round has a date but no amount.PitchBook logs an Early Stage VC deal on September 11, 2025, tagged Completed and Generating Revenue, but leaves amount, raised to date and post valuation blank. GFT Ventures confirmed its own participation in a Q1 2026 letter to its limited partners, naming Y Combinator, Rebel Fund and a fund it calls Maiora Ventures as co-investors. Tekedia Capital separately announced its own participation in September and November 2025 posts. PitchBook lists ZAKA VC as a sixth investor. No source states a dollar figure for this round.
  3. PitchBook’s own funding total undercounts the company.PitchBook’s FAQ answer states Avelis has raised $500,000 total, which only reflects the disclosed pre-seed and does not add anything for the undisclosed September round that its own deal table lists. The true total raised is therefore higher than $500,000, by an unknown amount.
  4. No Form D means no independent check on investor count or ticket size.Unlike a Form D, which would show first sale date, amount sold and number of investors, none of that exists here. The rounds table above is built entirely from press mentions and data aggregators, not primary filings.
  5. Revenue is an outside estimate, not a company figure.GetLatka, a data provider, estimated 2025 revenue at about $330,000 and labeled it explicitly as an estimate. Avelis Health has not published a revenue figure of its own.

What to watch

  • A first Form D, for either the pre-seed or the seed round.
  • Disclosure of the seed round’s size, which every source found leaves blank.
  • A named self-insured employer, TPA or health plan customer.
  • Whether PitchBook or Preqin update their total raised figures once more information surfaces.
